Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information this website collects, how it's used, and how it's protected. It applies to hobartsynagogue.org, operated by the Hobart Hebrew Congregation (HHC).
What we collect
This site has no accounts, no cookies, and no tracking by default. The only personal information we collect is what you submit through one of our forms: the general contact form, the tour enquiry form, or the membership application. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email, phone number, postal address, and — for membership applications only — religious affiliation, family and household details, and identity documents you choose to upload.
How it's handled
Form submissions are emailed directly to the relevant HHC contact (the office, the tours coordinator, or the President) and are not stored in a database on our servers. Uploaded files pass straight through to that email and are never written to disk. Postmark, our transactional email provider, is the only third party involved in delivering these emails — we do not share your information with anyone else.
Retention
Once a submission reaches the relevant HHC mailbox, how long it's kept is governed by HHC's own email retention practices, not by this website.

This site does not use cookies or third-party analytics by default. If that changes in future, this policy will be updated first.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw a submitted application, at any time — please contact us directly.
